In these unusual times, Pack 455 rocks on! The 2020-2021 scouting year will look a little different, but we will have scouts this year. Fall camp will be held Friday, October 11th through Sunday, October 13th. This is a family camp, so everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Camp opens at 6:00 PM. Dinner will not be served Friday evening, but please bring a snack to share at the evening fires. Cost: $25 per person, $100 max for the family. Everyone who attends MUST have completed a health form and a waiver form in order to attend. Spring camp 2019 will be held the weekend of May 17th at Sterns Scout Reservation in by St. Cloud. This is a family camp, so all family members are welcome.
This is tent or cabin (limited space) camping in the spring, so make sure to bring warm bedding if you want to sleep outside. We will have a hall available for use for meals and if the weather does not cooperate. Check for a list of what gear to bring under the Pack Camping page. On Saturday, February 2nd, our pack will be attending Polar Cubs Day Camp at Phillippo Scout Reservation in Cannon Falls. This is a Northern Star Council sponsored day camp for Cub Scouts, siblings and parents.
Activities include:
Cub Scouts: $35 Siblings (5-11): $35 Siblings under 5: Free Adults and siblings 12 and older: $13 Location: Phillippo Scout Camp 30654 32nd Avenue Way, Cannon Falls, MN 55009 Click here for directions (Red Pine Elementary to Phillippo Scout Reservation) Polar Cubs Schedule: 8:15 a.m. – Check-in begins 9:00 a.m. – Opening flag ceremony and morning rotations 11:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch and a visit to the Trading Post (3 lunch shifts, lunch is provided) 1:00 p.m.—Afternoon rotations 3:30 p.m.—Check out Make sure that you dress for the occasion by wearing snow pants, a hat, gloves and boots, as most of the day will be spent outdoors. Click here for a map of Camp Philipo For those who signed up for the extended weekend, our pack will be staying at the Gwinn Center on Friday and Saturday nights. Follow the road straight in past the large dining hall and the parking lot after it, and take 2 lefts, and go all the way down to the end of the road. Friday night will not include any dinner, just our normal cracker barrel. Please bring a snack to share for Friday and Saturday nights. Plan to arrive at 6:00, head to your assigned cabin and then head over to Gwinn Center for some fun activities. We will also be serving up a hearty breakfast before Polar Camp on Saturday and a big dinner on Saturday night, followed by movies and popcorn. All Pack 455 families who attend Polar Camp are welcome to stay for dinner and the movie on Saturday, even if you did not sign up for Winter Camp. Register Now! Soon it will be Mothers Day, and the Eagan Gardening club is having their annual Eagan Flower Sale on Saturday, May 12th. Our scouts volunteer to help them with their sale by assisting with transporting the customer's purchases, carrying flowers to the customer's cars, and loading them in. These actions demonstrate that a scout is Helpful, Curteous, Kind, and Cheerful.

Pinewood Derby, the model car racing event of the year, will be held on Saturday March 3rd at
. Scouts, with the help of parents, are encouraged to build their own cars from wood kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels, and metal axles. Rules and timeframes can be found on our Pinewood Derby page. Our Silent Auction will also be happening at this time and we will be offering various donated items to help fund our Eagle Scholarship. We'll see everyone there for the races! |
About Pack 455Cub Scout Pack 455 meets monthly at Red Pine Elementary in Eagan. It is family focused with an emphasis on camping.
